Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ClinicalSim (the "Service"), operated by Peter Chapman ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Educational purpose only
The Service is an educational simulation tool designed for training health professionals in clinical diagnostic reasoning. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for real patients. Do not use it to make clinical decisions about real patients.
2. Account and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration details, keep your password secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts may not be shared. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your account or by contacting support. All amounts are in Australian dollars unless stated. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in line with Australian Consumer Law.
4. Intellectual property
All case scenarios, simulator content, illustrations, code, branding and documentation are the intellectual property of Peter Chapman. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal continuing professional development. You may not copy, distribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the content.
5. User-contributed cases
If you (as an educator or admin) contribute case material to the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, display, adapt, and distribute that material within the Service. You warrant that you own or have permission to submit the material and that it does not include identifying patient information.
6. AI-generated content
The Service uses AI models to generate patient dialogue, illustrative images, and clinical reasoning coaching. AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. Treat all AI outputs as educational prompts, not clinical truth.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including any loss arising from clinical decisions made in reliance on the Service.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
